As a child I was treated for cavities without any anesthesia, and got scarred for life. But now, when I'm 68, and trying to save as many God given teeth as possible, I came to the right place. The staff was wonderful, understanding and efficient. The dentist... oh my God, very gentle touch, excellent performance and results. But what I value the most, he always had time to explain what needs to be done and made you feel like a team member, and at ease. I’ve been going to Hollywood Dental Plaza for around 5 or 6 years now, because of the recommendation from my daughter. Dr. Amador is great. I have since moved away and travel back to south Florida for my dental appointments. And will continue to do so. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would. Great staff, too!

I have been dealing with dental issues since we moved to South Florida a little over a year ago. My first experience was with one of the dental chains common in the area, and during my initial visit, I decided I would not be returning for several reasons. Fortunately, my wife found a dental office near our home in Hollywood, FL. She scheduled an appointment for herself and our two children. After her visit, she couldn’t stop talking about how impressed she was, and our children shared the same positive feedback. She urged me to make an appointment, but I was hesitant due to my previous experience. Still, I knew I needed serious dental care, so I called to schedule a visit. To my surprise, the person who answered the phone—apologies for not catching her name—was incredibly kind. She asked about my dental concerns and immediately informed me they could get me in the following week. I was shocked; I fully expected to hear that there was a long wait. Not even 15 minutes after my call, I received an email from Vicky, the office manager, with new patient forms and confirmation that she would contact the dental chain I had visited to obtain my X-rays. She assured me I wouldn’t need to pay for new ones. I was skeptical they could get my X-rays in just three days, but I completed the forms and hoped for the best. Vicky came through as she shared and the X-rays were there for the team to review. When I arrived for my appointment yesterday, I was greeted like family. Every staff member welcomed me warmly, and it felt as though I’d been a patient for years. I’ve never received such a warm reception from any dental office, not even from my great dentist back in Arizona. I was a little embarrassed about how much work my teeth needed, but the hygienist quickly put me at ease, assuring me that they’d take excellent care of me—and they did. Then I met Dr. Jose Luis Amador, and I immediately understood why my family insisted I make an appointment. Dr. Amador greeted me with the same warmth as his staff, and I felt my anxiety melt away. It was like he had been my dentist my entire life. He explained everything in great detail, laid out my treatment options, and showed genuine concern about addressing my most pressing issues quickly. In the past, I couldn’t wait to get out of the dentist’s chair. But this time, I genuinely felt like I could have stayed there all day. I’ve never experienced such compassion and care from a dental team before. I felt it was important to write this review for others who’ve recently moved to the area or are searching for a new dentist. I rely heavily on reviews myself, and I hope my experience helps others avoid the mistake of going to a dental chain. Instead, I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Dr. Jose Luis Amador at Hollywood Plaza Dental Center. I’m actually looking forward to my next visit, even though it will involve a lot of work—that says something! Dental Hygienist was great. Doctors and staff are always awesome as well. I've been a client for a long time, can't remember the year right now, always a great experience on each visit.
